Applied Innovations Introduces Windows 2008 Hosting for Dedicated Servers
Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) November 8, 2007 -- Applied Innovations (http://www.appliedi.net), a Microsoft Gold Certified provider of the Windows-based ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Shared and Application Hosting solutions, announced today it has introduced Microsoft Windows Server 2008 hosting for dedicated servers. The operating system, which is scheduled to be released next February, represents the next generation of Microsoft-powered hosting technology and includes the latest version Internet Information Services (IIS7).
Through a partnership with Microsoft, Applied Innovations will allow its dedicated server customers to run both Windows Server 2008 and IIS7 as a trial until the products are officially released. Dedicated server customers will then have the option to upgrade to the RTM (release to manufacturing) version of the software. Pricing for Windows Server 2008 has not yet been released by Microsoft.
"This early introduction allows our customers to foresee what's coming to the Web and Application hosting world. The new IIS platform, with its modular architecture, hits higher overall performance benchmarks, offers more robust security, and provides extensibility that hasn't been available in previous versions," said Jess Coburn, CEO, Applied Innovations.
IIS7 introduces a series of changes from previous versions of the software. Administrators can now take advantage of a new set of administrative functions, and can use detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting tools to minimize downtime or service interruptions. IIS7 also features automatic sandboxing of new sites to increase server security.
Dedicated hosting form Applied Innovations starts at $99/monthly and includes a variety of value-added features, including a SmarterTools business management software bundle, 24/7 technical support, and access to an array of premium add-ons. Windows Server 2008 and IIS7 may be used with any dedicated server plan.
